Don't Trifle With Sacred Things

The other day I was reading an article by President Ezra Taft Benson he said " In 1829 the Lord warned the Saints that they are not to trifle with sacred things (D&C 6:12). Surely the Book of Mormon is a sacred thing, and yet many trifle with it, or in other words, take it lightly, treat it as though it is of little importance."

It made me think how are we treating the Book of Mormon? Are we treating it with the importance we should? Are we reading it, studying it and making it a part of our lives as we should? Are we trifling with it? Are we letting the anit-Christ (those who don't want us to gain a strong testimony of this scared book) have their way?

My challenged to my family, kids and grandkids, is to not trifle with the Book of Mormon, to read it ever day, to gain a strong testimony that can't be shaken of the truthfulness of this sacred book. Almost all of my Grandkids can read, so I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon everyday. And those that can't read have your parents or brother or sister read to you. It will enrich your life. I leave you my testimony of this truth and my love......Mom, Grandma B
